Meet Stacey Uhrig
Since my earliest memories, I've felt an innate calling to uplift and support others.
As the eldest among four siblings, I naturally became the person people turned to for navigating life's most daunting challenges. Drawing from my own journey and the hurdles I encountered in my youth, I unearthed a unique talent for helping individuals shift their perspectives on life's trials.
While my academic background centered on Speech Pathology and Audiology, with a focus on aiding the DEAF and Autistic communities, my professional journey took a different trajectory in my twenties when I joined the "family business." I honed my coaching skills there, guiding hundreds of individuals toward embracing their true selves. This role demanded not only attentive listening but also a knack for unraveling personal narratives and offering fresh insights into life's intricacies.
At age 41, a new chapter unfolded as I transitioned from a "working mom" to a "stay-at-home mom." It was during this period that I reached a critical juncture, hitting what felt like rock bottom. For twenty-five years leading up to this point, I had grappled with the suffocating grip of anxiety. Every day felt like a relentless battle against a weight pressing on my chest, robbing me of breath. My neck and shoulders were constantly tense, a pit gnawed at my stomach, and my throat remained clenched. Sometimes, it incapacitated me for days, leaving me barely functional. Yet, it had become my norm, a state of being I hadn't even recognized as suffering. Diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder at 30, I resigned myself to this fate, influenced by a family history of mental health struggles. Despite seeking help from six therapists, the root causes remained elusive until later, when I uncovered the profound impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences, trauma, and the coping mechanisms forged during those tumultuous times.
In addition to my battle with anxiety, I was confronted with physical health challenges such as Raynaud's at 26 and Sero-Negative Rheumatoid Arthritis at 48, further propelling my quest for clarity, understanding, and healing. Immersing myself in the teachings of influential figures like Brene Brown, Don Miguel Ruiz, Gabor Mate, and Bessel van der Kolk, I embarked on a journey of personal growth, self-discovery, and healing old emotional wounds.
Building upon decades of experience supporting individuals through life's trials and my profound journey, I established Flip Your Mindset in 2020. Through personalized 1:1 coaching sessions, I empower my clients to perceive their struggles from a fresh perspective, fostering a sense of empowerment, purpose, and inner tranquility.
