EMBARK ON A TRANSFORMATIVE JOURNEY WITH 1:1 COACHING

STRAIGHT UP COACHING

Specializing in healing emotional wounds using a combination of Parts Work, Polyvagal Theory, and Trauma Recovery Techniques, I guide individuals on a journey back to self. Explore the roots of your struggles, often influenced by childhood adversities, and break free to discover your authentic self. Sessions can be grouped in bundles of 4, 8, or 12.

  • My coaching practice is centered around developmental trauma recovery, specializing in empowering individuals to navigate life's challenges and heal from emotional wounds. What sets me apart is my unique blend of expertise in areas like Parts Work, Polyvagal Theory, and Rapid Transformational Therapy, through a trauma recovery lens.

  • I am certified as a Trauma Recovery Coach from the International Association of Trauma Recovery Coaching (IAOTRC). The IAOTRC is significantly different from other programs that teach trauma coaching. It is an organization of Trauma Recovery professionals who use the modality of coaching to help our clients. We are mental health professionals first and coaches second. Other programs are coach education businesses who teach coaches how to work with trauma. They build a non-specific coaching box and try to fit trauma into that model. We build a trauma box, customized to fit the science of trauma recovery, and have built a significantly effective coaching model that fits this very specific trauma box. We are not coaches who work with trauma survivors. We are trauma professionals who use the modality to coach to help trauma survivors build a life they love to live.

The IAOTRC has pioneered the field of Trauma Recovery Coaching. No other individual or organization has written coaching protocols and ethical standards for the field. It is the first to put those together into a Trauma Recovery Coaching Certification Program. This program credentials Trauma Recovery Coaches and upholds the highest quality and ethical standards within the field of Trauma Recovery Coaching. It is not just another coaching education program written by someone who thinks they understand trauma from an outsider’s point of view. My training through the IAOTRC has spanned over 15 months and has covered not just Trauma Recovery but Narcissistic Abuse as well as Parts Work through a Poly Vagal Lens. To maintain my certification I must complete 35 hours of supervision and 15 CEU credits every two years.

  • Therapy: Therapy typically involves exploring past experiences, emotions, and psychological patterns to address mental health concerns and emotional challenges. Therapists often use evidence-based techniques and interventions to facilitate healing and promote mental well-being.

As a Trauma Recovery Coach, I focus on empowering individuals to navigate the aftermath of unhealed wounds from childhood (aka developmental trauma) that are keeping them stuck in life. I use techniques such as Parts Work, Polyvagal Theory, and Rapid Transformational Therapy through a trauma-trained lens to facilitate healing, foster resilience, and support personal growth.

Trauma recovery coaching, like therapy, prioritizes creating a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their emotions, gain insights, and work towards personal growth. This approach also emphasizes the importance of establishing trust, fostering a relationship, and respecting the client's autonomy and self-determination. Trauma recovery coaching, similar to therapy, may incorporate techniques such as mindfulness, self-awareness, self-care strategies, and goal-setting to support clients in their healing journey. These shared principles and methods contribute to a comprehensive and holistic approach to trauma recovery and emotional well-being.

In summary, as a Trauma Recovery Coach, my role is to offer a unique perspective and tools to support individuals in overcoming developmental trauma, enhancing resilience, and achieving holistic well-being. It is not uncommon for me to collaborate with therapists to provide comprehensive support for those navigating the complexities of trauma recovery and emotional healing.
